Eating to fuel

We want you to get the most out of your session with us. Our classes are about strength and resistance training, lifting stuff, and the odd burst of cardio work.


You'll feel better about doing all of this if your body has fuel rather than running on empty.


It doesn't take much - a small amount of Calories and Protein will do the trick.


It's equally beneficial to eat afterwards, and timing is a factor too. A protein hit within about an hour of finishing your class will help look after those muscles and (yes) more calories for recovery. This might be a good time for fish or dairy and some fruit and veg.


We're not about pushing your body to feel broken, and we do not believe starving the body of the nutrients it needs supports good health. Our approach is considered, women focused training. You'll feel the impact of the session but still be able to go about your day, and if you feel your energy levels dropping later, eat again! Recovering well is key for long term health benefits.



Coming to our sessions regularly will help the body get used to this routine and it can adjust to work with you.
